Getting your test results
The surgery will only contact you directly if there is a significant problem with your results.
Once a doctor has reviewed your test results, you can view them:
- in your NHS account (through the NHS website or NHS App)
- in your Patient Access account
When the test results will be available
Approximate number of working days for tests ordered at surgery:
| Test results | When are the results available |
|---|---|
| Blood tests | 5 working days unless otherwise advised |
| X-Ray | 2 weeks |
| Urine test | 5 working days |
For investigations ordered by a hospital doctor please ask at the hospital how they intend to relay the result to you.
